Leonardo DaVinci drew a drum machine 500 years ago. 50 years ago Seeburg added transistors and gave birth to the Select-a-Rhythm 1. Now robo-rhythms are everywhere.
Construct your own analog percussion keyboard. Motorize musicians that strike, shake, rattle, and roll instruments that you invent. Train them, tweak them, tune them, try them out until you have assembled a perfectly balanced quintet with a sound not like any others’. They’ll need outfits, good hair, and they will be ready to tour. The 12th in our FIRST CIRCUITS series.
