It's Election Day…a day to remember to look very carefully…because things are not always what they seem to be.
Build classical optical experiments to study how the mind can be fooled into seeing things that may not really be there. Explore science: Benham's Top – a top with black and white lines that will cause you to see colors when it spins. Explore art: from Marcel Duchamp's spinning experiments.
Then construct a Praxinoscope: our newest design for a century old technique for animation experiments. Spin and make figures dance. Experiment with classic images and create your own.
