Develop your own animation or computer game “from Scratch,” MIT's web-based programming language that allows you to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art - and share your creations on the web. Design characters and worlds of your own, or borrow inspiration from your favorites. Advanced Scratchers will get an introduction to text coding using Processing, a powerful Java development tool, also by MIT’s Media Lab.
When your masterpiece is complete, use Java derived from familiar the “Scratch” blocks to convert your Scratch project into a cross-platform Java applet that can be played almost anywhere!
You will need an e-mail address (either your own or a parent's) in order to share your work online. Or, you can bring your project home on a USB drive or CD.
